Materials Association was jointly initiated by many elites of Guangdong
province shoes material industry, such as Mr. Liu Suilong, chairman
of board and general manager of Guangzhou Xinhaopan Shoes Material Leather
Hardware Wholesale Plaza Co., Ltd., Mr. Wang Shengpei, chairman of board
of Dongguan Kuari Group, Mr. Wang Min, chairman of board of Guangdong
Far East Industrial Development Co., Ltd., and Mr. Liang Huinan, chairman
of Commercial Chamber of Shenzhen Longgang District Leather Shoes Industry,
etc, and has got active responses of the colleagues of the industry.
Since Dec. 2006, the association has been prepared for establishment
and the application for establishment was submitted to Guangdong Province
Bureau of Civil Affairs for approval. On Jan. 15, 2007, Guangdong Province
Department of Civil Affairs issued the document of “Yue Min Min [2007]
No.2”, which formally approved the establishment of Guangdong Province
Shoes Material Industry Association. The association is an industrial
non-profit-making social organization as legal person of the province
level which is composed voluntarily of the enterprises engaged in shoes
material manufacture and selling operation. At present, there have been
469 member units formally in the association.
In the first representative assembly of the member units, the “Election
Method for Directors of the First Board of Directors of Guangdong Province
Shoes Material Industry Association” was passed, and the “Rules Of Guangdong
Shoes Materials Association” were set up. Furthermore, the first chairman,
vice chairman, managing director and directors of the association were
elected. In the second conference of the first representative assembly
of the member units, a lot of vice chairmen, managing directors and
directors were elected additionally. In addition, four managing directors
meetings of the association were held, deciding the internal organization
and annual work plan of the association. It was decided by the managing
director meeting of the association that the Establishment Celebration
of Guangdong Shoes Materials Association & the Inauguration Ceremony
of 1st Board of Directors will be held formally on Jun. 1,
2007.
*Purpose of the association*
To provide services for the member units complying with constitution,
laws, rules and policies of the country, and complying with social morality;
to maintain legal rights and interests and common economic interests
of the industry and the member units, maintain market order and fair
competition, set up bridges and ties between the enterprises of the
industry, the enterprise and the relevant administration, promote information
exchange and cooperation of manufacture, trade and technology of the
same trade home and abroad, be devoted to the education and training
on the business skill and management capability of the industry staff,
actively promote the development of shoes material industry and shoes-manufacturing
industry of Guangdong Province, and improve the internationalization
level of shoes material industry of our country.
*Work of the association*
To initiate activities of the industry, work out industrial standard
and quality examination standard, hold exhibitions, carry out training
on business skill and management capability, and carry out information
exchange and cooperation on trade and technology between different areas
and countries internationally, etc.

To provide services for the industry, being practical and innovative,
and run the association democratically.
